GONE TOO SOON: Fan outcry, tribute and celebration to Michael
Jackson's Life the day he died. The project is an ongoing multimedia
Photo Exhibit series that showcases Black Photographers and videographers
archiving the historical perspectives of Michael Jackson fans all over the
world after hearing of his untimely death June 25, 2009.
The first of the series take you to a night in Harlem after confirming a few
hours earlier that Michael Jackson had in fact died. The historical landmark,
Apollo Theater (where Michael Jackson and the Jackson's appeared on amateur
night) became one of was the main location, people flocked to after hearing the
hews about Michael's unforeseen, untimely death. Although people
were sad, people celebrated the life of Michael Jackson by blasting, singing
along and dancing to his timeless music. It was a night to remember. This was
truely a day of world peace.
